Tax Manager
Sciarabba Walker is currently seeking a tax manager with 8 or more years of experience preparing and reviewing corporate, individual, partnership and trust and estate income tax returns to join our growing tax practice. A CPA or enrolled agent designation is preferred but not required. Candidates with industry/controller experience who are interested in a career in public accounting will be considered.
The tax manager is responsible for a wide range of assignments, including tax planning, consulting and projections, the preparation of complex individual and business income tax returns, review of individual and business returns of varying complexities, training and mentoring of staff, client service, and practice development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field with 5+ years of experience
- CPA or enrolled agent designation preferred but not required
- Strong technical skills and ability to research tax issues
- Excellent communication skills and experience successfully managing client relationships
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Independent
- A desire to advance in public accounting

Staff Accountant
Sciarabba Walker & Co., LLP is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing practice. The position will be responsible for performing portions of audits and preparing a variety of income tax returns.
Key responsibilities:
- Audit, review, and compilation fieldwork and report preparation
- Engagement planning and administrative tasks
- Unaudited financial statement engagements or segments of audits
- Preparing individual, business, fiduciary, and other tax returns
- Assisting in tax planning and responding to tax notices
- Progressing professionally by working toward passing the CPA exam
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field
- Proficiency in relevant applications including QuickBooks, Thomson Reuters Suite, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
- CPAs or CPA exam candidate
- Professional oral and written communication skills

Audit Manager
Sciarabba Walker is currently seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our firm. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing an engagement team and providing various audit and assurance services to our for-profit, not-for-profit, credit union, employee benefit practices. A CPA designation is preferred, but not required. Candidates with industry/controller experience who are interested in a career in public accounting will be considered.
The audit manager will be responsible for:
- Planning audit objects and determining audit strategy.
- Establishing expectations of the audit team and managing against budget.
- Leading multiple audit engagements and completing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Identify accounting and audit risks using US GAAS and US GAAP.
- Managing all engagement fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery of results.
- Assisting with client engagement administrative tasks including staffing and ensuring profitability margins are met.
- Responsible for a wide range of assignments including training and mentoring of staff, client service, and practice development.
The right candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field.
- CPA or CPA exam candidate.
- 7+ years of experience in providing financial audit services in a CPA firm.
- Demonstrated success leading teams and mentoring other audit staff on client engagements.
- Working knowledge of ProSystem Engagement and other audit software programs is a plus.
- Strong technical skills and ability to research complicated audit issues.
- Excellent communication skills and experience successfully managing client relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools and applications.
