Sciarabba Walker & Co., LLP recently was honored with the Corporate Community Support award as part of the BizEventz 2017 Nonprofit Awards. The annual awards luncheon recognizes the exceptional accomplishments of area nonprofit organizations, individuals, and businesses in supporting the efforts of nonprofits in the Central New York region. The Corporate Community Support award recognizes businesses that provide support for the nonprofit sector through contributions, volunteer services, and in-kind services or donations targeted to helping one or more nonprofits achieve greater sustainability.
Since the firm’s inception in 1976, Sciarabba Walker has been dedicated to giving back to the community in a variety of ways. We have served as a United Way of Tompkins County pacesetter for a number of years, conducting early and ambitious fundraising campaigns that jumpstart the organization’s efforts. We also assist area nonprofits in launching new fundraising programs and activities, such as the FoodNet Meals on Wheels van sponsorships. Additionally, our staff donates countless hours to nonprofits by serving on boards and committees while also participating in fundraising events like the SPCA of Tompkins County March for the Animals and volunteer projects such as the Food Bank of the Southern Tier’s BackPack Repack Program. Sciarabba Walker is deeply committed to helping the many nonprofits that make our community special, and we are honored to receive this award!
